CAN I TALK ABOUT MY FAITH/SPIRITUALITY IN SESSION?
Yes. All areas of life are welcomed in the counselling space. I invite my clients to examine their health from a holistic perspective. I intend to work collaboratively and respectfully with what my clients would like to explore.
Personally, I am a follower of Jesus Christ and I have years of experience working in the area of spiritual formation with individuals from the Christian faith tradition.
My clients are not required to share the same spirituality to see me or vice versa. I am confident and equipped to work with individuals from different walks of life, faith backgrounds, and beliefs.
INSURANCE COVERAGE
Please check with your healthcare providers for services provided by a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC).
The current Medical Services Plan (MSP) in British Columbia does not cover fees for counselling. However, counselling services can be claimed as a medical expense with your personal income tax.
WILL COUNSELLING BE IN-PERSON IN THE FUTURE?
Potentially. However, due to the changing nature of COVID-19, all sessions will be online until further notice.
WHAT IF I NEED TO RESCHEDULE?
If cancelling or rescheduling an appointment within 2 days of your appointment, please be aware that there may be late/cancellation fees
HOW MANY SESSIONS DO I NEED?
Typically, clients report symptom relief after the first few sessions and upward progression by the end of 6 weeks. Clients may experience immediate effects and short term changes.

For lasting or permanent change (A.K.A. second order change), depending on the severity of the presenting challenge, I recommend a minimum of 6 weeks of consistent weekly sessions and longer. As the symptoms improve, the number of sessions can taper down and adapted to fit individual's goals and desire to continue.
